The Ripple Effect

It was designed to show people that they can have a positive effect on society without being so negative.
After watching from the sidelines all of the negative press and social media posts, I thought "why does everything have to be anti this or anti that"? How can we change the conversation/flip-the-script from all of the nasty, petty, cyber-bullying nonsense to something positive. And from those positives show the rest of the 'participants' that their positives have an impact, not just locally, but globally.
In reality - I would hope that all of the positive actions would become second nature to people and then this app would not be necessary at all!
I can hear it already - the negative people are going to call me naive or stupid or whatever - I'd rather be naive and aim for something good than contribute to the nay-sayer's agenda.
The app is simple - run it - choose either Random Act of Kindness or Environmental Action, and select what you've done. This will increase the number of "My Ripples Today", the "My Ripples" for the device you are running it on. It will also effect the number of Global Ripples.
The app does NOT share your personal information. It only shares the actions you have said you have done and the date they were done.
This app works on the honor system - you can "game the system" and just click stuff you didn't do - that is not being helpful to the ultimate goal of being a positive person.
I can say this - I showed this app to my 15 year-old nephew, without explanation. He immediately changed his behaviors. He became part of the global ripple effect.
